How to Spend a Luxurious Day in Palm Beach

Updated: Feb 11, 2021

My last visit to Palm Beach turned out to be a soggy one so I decided to go back and spend one luxurious day up north. I know I keep talking about Palm Beach but it really does feel like you're more than 2 hours from Miami. If you find yourself looking for something to do one weekend I definitely recommend taking the drive, you won't be disappointed! Here is how to spend the most luxurious day in Palm Beach.

I started off my day a bit late and left Miami around 11:30 AM and arrived in Palm Beach at 1:30 PM almost 2:00 PM because of some traffic. If you plan on spending some time at the beach I would consider leaving earlier. I took I-95 straight up because the exit leaves you about a mile or two from the beach but you can also take the Turnpike which will leave you a bit out west and is a longer drive to the coast.

Before leaving Miami I already knew I wanted to stroll down Worth Avenue so the plan was to head straight there. If you're not familiar, Worth Avenue is one of the most luxurious shopping venues with designer stores such as Chanel, Louis Vuitton, Gucci, and more! The Avenue is not very long so you can easily walk up and down in a couple of hours or more if you plan on stopping at multiple stores. Most of them are open and all require a mask to enter. Many of the stores have masks at the entrance for you to use if you don't have one. Parking is also free for 2 hours!

Once you reach the end of the Avenue, you'll hit the beach. There are plenty of entrances from the sidewalk so no issues on being able to spend your day there. If you start to get hungry, I definitely recommend Cafe Via Flora. The cafe is tucked away on a side street called Via Amore and opens up into cute courtyard with al fresco dining, beautiful greenery and fountains. Throughout Worth Avenue you'll find a bunch of these side streets that lead to more cafes and outdoor restaurants. You can get lost in these streets!

Another outdoor shopping venue full of high-end shops is Royal Poinciana Plaza. Just about a mile from Worth Avenue you'll be greeted with store signs such ash Hermès, Saint Laurent, LoveShackFancy, and more. I've had my eye on a Saint Laurent wallet for a while so I decided to treat myself to it. Everyone's favorite Stoney Clover Lane is also located here and I was so tempted to customize all the bags! Such a cute store.

For an afternoon coffee and pastry I would recommend Sant Ambroeus, described as bringing a touch of old world Milan via contemporary Manhattan to the shores of Palm Beach. The outdoor seating is located just outside of Saint Laurent so it almost looks like the cafe is part of the store but it's not.

I feel like there is so much more to explore in the area such as Rosemary's Square which will probably be my next stop when I go back up there.
